I don’t want you to
walk like me
talk like me
dress like me
be like me
I just want you to appreciate me.
I don’t want you to
scold me
mold me
transform me
conform me
I just want you to hold me
I don’t want you to
typecast me
bypass me
not take me seriously
look at me despairingly
I just want you to respect me
I don’t want you to
judge me
begrudge me
degrade me
try to rearrange me
I just want you to pray for me
I don’t want you to
ignore me
form ideas for me
patronize me
pretend to specialize in me
I just want you to understand me.

Right, women don't need Pygmalion men. We're hard enough on ourselves without receiving extra criticism. If a man accepts me for who I am in the beginning but changes his mind later, he is free to leave. It sounds harsh but that's just where I am. Thanks for sharing your work!
