WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME? Did you just call me a N!gger?

Recently I viewed a video of 11 year old Jonathan McCoy where he spoke out againsts using the word Nigger. This is my reaction, continue reading to see exactly what he said.

As most of you may already know. I am totally againsts using the word Nigga or Nigger for any instance except speaking out against it. For hundreds of years my ancestors of all skin tones, creeds, and clans died because of this word whether it was to avoid being called it or simply because that was all that they were viewed as.

I 100% support Jonathan McCoy's message and appreciate his passion and his courage to speak out against something that millions of people think is ok. I say millions because in my presence I have heard someone from EVERY RACE, yes I said every- I know a lot of people, use this word. I had to break this down to a young man from Yemen not too long ago. It's INSANE to me that people that have recently immigrated to this country are using the word- THEY SHOULDN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT IT, especially without knowing the full history of this country. He knew about "slavery" but had NO CLUE about Civil Rights.

I have not seen a person of Asian decent using the phrase "What's up my Chink," or a Chicano saying "Yo, that's my Wet Back." Why? Because they would never perpetuate the negative stereotypes about their community, nor would they allow anyone else to. So I ask my fellow members of the African American community . . . WHAT'S THE KUFING PROBLEM?

When are we all going to stand together and say "Yes, I'm Black but I'm not ignorant. So F the N word and all that represents it."

See the problem is that most people that use it are "ignorant" to the facts about African American history. They don't even have a clue that Civil Rights Act was passed in 1963.  They have no clue what he confederate flag represents, they have no clue that the KKK is still thriving. They are oblivious to the fact that the rest of the world is looking at us like "Y'all still can't get this thing together."

My Final Theory: Really listen to Jonathan's message- it was so beautifully spoken. Impliment his message in your life TODAY! Take some time to investigate for yourself why this word is so HORRIBLE.
