15 Year Old Girl Raped, Beaten, and Robbed during school homecoming

I hope that you are aware by now exactly what is going on in Richmond, California. For those of you who have not heard, there have been several arrests made in the gang rape, beating, and robbery of a 15 year old high school student. The ordeal took place over a 2 1/2 hour period on school grounds during the Homecoming dance. Now the real kicker . . . it is believed that there were over 10 young boys that assaulted her and well over 20 different people came along to spectate. No one knows exactly how many people passed by and the part that makes this story really SADISTIC - NO ONE, I MEAN NO ONE called the police or got a police officer to come outside. There were four officers present at the homecoming dance along with the school's regularly staffed security.

Now aside from the obvious tragedy, I began having even more trouble with it after viewing this video.

Now according to this young ladies statement, there is less security at this particular school because it is mostly filled with minority students- that just puts my anger at another level.

People may ask, "How can this happen? How could no one call the police?" My dear reader, the answer is fairly simple. When kids are playing video games (that look real) and are killing and having sex and raping women- WHAT DO YOU EXPECT THEM TO DO? It's hard enough already to realize at that age the real conseqences of life. I am not excusing any actions, but I can totally see why noone called. It's easy these days, with the American way of showing FAKE emotion, to see someone being brutalized and walk away. Especially if that's what you do daily on your PS3. I mean is it really your business to help? They didn't know her right? It wasn't their daughter, sister, or cousin being raped so who really gives a fuck, right? When we see women who are degraded or treated like "the whore they are." Everyone makes bad judgement calls, but that does not entitle them to be violated in anyway.

I dont care if she fucked EVERY SINGLE GUY ON THE FOOTBALL TEAM, it was because she choose to not because she was forced.

Would someone have done something if it was a young man being brutilized, robbed, and raped?

I am going to share a story that I rarely ever tell. In my freshman year of college, I was all about having a fun time and celebrating my freedom. One fact however, that few people didn't know, is that I did not drink despite my partying ways. I got to know a few of the members of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity at Florida A&M, and thought they were a blast and so kind for giving me rides and inviting me to the parties. Obviously in a house full of guys there is going to be someone that catches your eye, right? Well, one dude just had this swag about him that I could not resist. One evening after the party was over, I was still there and dude suggested that I stay and one thing led another and I was naked in the Q house. I heard the door open and shut but was too involved to look, I assumed someone saw what was happening and kept about their business. The next thing I knew this random guy had his penis IN MY FACE. So, as I'm explaining to him that its not that type of party someone else opens the door letting in enough light for me to see that at least 10 young men had entered the room, some of them unbuckeling their pants.

You see, they weren't counting on me being sober. I cannot imagine what could have happened to me if I had choosen to drink alcohol that night. After chasing me down, everyone that was in the house apologized to me, but you know what . . . I shouldn't have settled for that. I should have reported it. I could have made a difference then, but that is why I am telling you now.

I cannot say that it was my fault, but I can say that 1.) I am the one that did not make a better judgement call about who I was sleeping with and where the hell I was. Those men could have raped me and hid my body in the deep woods of Tallahassee. 2.) I should have NEVER been there without a friend.

At the time, I did not understand the frailty of life, I cannot imagine how hard it is these days when everything that is put in our face as reality is FAKE. I know I'm going off on tangents, but I'm so serious right now. I was so worried about acceptance and having a good time that I put my SAFETY in jeopardy. Which is sadly what this young lady did in this instance. I cannot imagine the mountains she will have to climb to regain herself. I wonder how long it will take for her to feel normal, to be able to trust. Poor, poor baby.

As long as America continues to raise it's children on cable and video games, we will continue to see an uprising is this behavior. Those are the sad and ugly, but truthful, facts. We are a country that lacks compassion. We are the only people in the world that can live next to someone for years and not know their name, what they do. Why? Because we just don't give a fuck. It's someone else's problem. But is it really? You are your brother's keeper, you are.

  1. That's shocking, this world is sick. I have 2 daughters and I'm worried for there safety and rather thought about homeschooling them instead. The shows these days are not innocents, even the love music aren't innocent, its all about sex and i'm tired! ITS GETTING WORSE. What ever happen to clean cartoons and clean music?
