Ms. Aubrey O'day's Dare to Love Launch Party @ Owl's Lab

Like any other monday night, I was searching for news for the show (The Demetrius Live Show) and came across the twitter account of Aubrey O'Day. She "tweeted" a flyer inviting all who could make it to Owl's Lab in NYC to help celebrate the launch of her new line "Dare to Love," which is a branch off of her brand "Heart on my Sleeve."

This girl knows how to throw a party. 1st of all any party that serves FREE top-shelf is already a winner in my book. Who doesn't love free Hpnotiq or PAMA? It was so hot in there, I could only handle one drink- and besides, I was DRIVING!

I brought along my partner in crime, Lucien, boy is he glad that he said "Yes" to this one. He is seriously indebted to me for a while. Once got to the store, we were greeted by the darling Kandy Allen, an impressive artist from La Quinta, California- who also happens to be Aubrey's mother.

I was on my way to calling the party a bust when I came across Leilani from VH-1's many reality series. She was right... THAT IS HOW I KNOW HER, but I still swear I met her in Cali years ago. Whatevs.

As Aubrey arrived the Pap's went into a frenzy, and she worked the cameras like the true Diva that she is. What amazed me the most is how personable she was. A fan arrived that made her a special plaque, she genuinely seemed happy to accept it. Even more impressive than that, she sashsayed over to a group of teenage fans and chatted with them about their outfits and what they were up to. It was obvious to me that Ms. O'day is in touch with her fans and really cares and keeps up with them.

Now, its obvious you are doing big things when you throw ANYTHING that Russell Simmons shows up to. Jasline Gonzalez, ANTM Season 8 Winner, who also models for Aubrey's clothing line- "Heart on my Sleeve" was in the building. From what I hear the party continued in good fashion as more of Aubrey's friends and family stopped by, but we cut out early due to the lack of standing room and the heat.
